Chef Mary has been cooking for the majority of her life. Helping her mom in the kitchen was a daily routine. Growing up in Jersey City, NJ she was immersed in many diverse cultures, which have influenced her as she created her own style of cooking. Cooking from the heart, which is her motto, has Italian, Soul, and Spanish ingredients. Quite often when preparing food with her mom, they would then set out to feed the homeless in her neighborhood. Her overall goal is to take a portion of her earnings and use it to prepare healthy meals for children whose family circumstances cannot provide. That passion and love for cooking lead her to work alongside her aunt and uncle in their luncheonette in Rutherford, NJ. Mary is a volunteer at Elijah’s Promise
